AGM and talk by Dr. Charlie Gardner April 17th https://southyarewildlifegroup.org/agm-and-talk-by-dr-charlie-gardner-april-17th/ Wed, 03 Apr 2024 19:04:28 +0000 https://southyarewildlifegroup.org/?p=1294 It’s that time of year again, the AGM has come round fast. On April 17th we look forward to welcoming Dr Charlie Gardner to the Margaret Mack rooms in Rockland St. Mary for his talk ‘Walking in Water’ highlighting the growing threat of climate change here in Norfolk. And after the wettest February on record, let’s be honest, we are living with climate change right now. Along with the talk, our chair will provide some highlights from the year that was and look ahead to further offerings in 2024. We would love to welcome new members to the group and to the committee, so if you fancy getting involved with what we do in any capacity, drop us a message on our social channels or grab one of us at the meeting itself.

Marvellous Moths https://southyarewildlifegroup.org/marvellous-moths/ Thu, 26 Oct 2023 10:29:18 +0000 https://southyarewildlifegroup.org/?p=1257 The theme for this year’s Rockland St.Mary Scarecrow festival is the letter ‘M’, so of course Moths was an obvious way in. Don’t they look fantastic? We are very fortunate to count such creative folk amongst our committee members. You can pick up a trail leaflet from the village shop, and as well as our moths expect to see famous wizards, Pokemon, muppets and more!

Don’t forget- tonight is the Jake Fiennes talk at Poringland community centre. We hope to see many of you there.
